Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read this site and use it. Updated 2026-11-01.
What we build to
This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as its target. In practice that means:
- Text and background colors with enough contrast to read.
- Every page usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Buttons and links with clear names, and photos with alt text.
- Headings in order, one main heading per page, and a skip link to the content.
- Text that can be resized, and layouts that work on a phone held upright.
- Motion that is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion. The home page's scene changes switch off too, and the page reads as a normal scrolling page.
What we test
Before launch and after changes we run automated accessibility checks (axe-core) on every page and check the pages by hand with a keyboard and at phone width. Automated tools do not catch everything, so we welcome reports.
We do not describe this site, or the sites we build, as "ADA compliant". Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act is a legal judgment, not a test result. What we can say is what standard we build to and what we test.
Tell us if something does not work
